Title I Tickets

Free Tickets for APS Title I Schools

Free to eligible APS schools by the application and lottery selection described below.

How to Apply

Title I tickets are not available until after the season has gone on sale to all classrooms. Tickets are limited and there is the possibility the show you request could be sold out. If you choose to order prior to Title I as a paying patron, we will not be able to place your Title I request in the lottery process.

The dates for 2017 season are:

  • Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM Title I applications open.
  • Friday, August 25, 2017 at 5:00 PM Title I applications close.
  • Monday, August 28, 2017 Title I Lottery takes place.
  • Wednesday, September 6 classrooms awarded free tickets will be notified by 5:00 PM.
Only APS schools with populations of at least 80% Title 1 students are eligible. There are 3,000 free tickets available for the entire season. This includes teachers and chaperones.

Failure to read and follow the rules will result in elimination from the pool.

Things to Remember

  • You have 7 days to place your application. There is no advantage to the date or time within that period.
  • Verify your school's Title I status before you order.
  • One free show per year per teacher.
  • Each teacher may order up to 35 tickets total for one show regardless of the number of students in the class. Additional tickets may be purchased if inventory is available.
  • There are a total of 300 Title I tickets held per performance. Once the 3,000 total is reached, remaining tickets are released for sale.
  • One person may make all the reservations for a grade or school, but must complete the individual information for each teacher participating. If the e-mail, phone number, etc. are duplicated, the entire application will be invalid.
Note: All combined classrooms on a form will be considered one order. If there are enough tickets for the total requested at the time of the lottery everyone will be awarded tickets. If not, no teacher on the form will be awarded tickets.

  • Reservations must be on the Title I form at
  • Request only the number needed for everyone attending the show.
  • There are no lap passes. Everyone, regardless of age, needs a ticket.
  • Click “Pay Later” on the order form. You will NOT be billed.

After You Apply:

  • Look for your email confirmation that we received your form. This does not guarantee you seats.
  • After the lottery, if you did not receive free seats, you will have the opportunity to reserve tickets at $3.00 each through the normal purchasing procedures. Some shows may not have availability.

Please Note: Title I tickets are not available until after the season has gone on sale to all classrooms. Tickets are limited and there is the possibility the show you request could be sold out. If you choose to order early, as a paying patron, we may not be able to fill your Title I request for the same show.
