Campus Tours

Want to show your high school students around campus? Visit admissions.unm.edu for information about Group Tours, offered Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. UNM also offers 30-minute information sessions and Self-Guided Lobo Tours.

Younger students might enjoy the Self-Guided Junior Lobo Scavenger Hunt. Tailor your specific interests to your time constraints.

UNM Maxwell Museum of Anthropology

The museum's galleries contain exhibits of Southwest society, human origins, and more. Visit unm.edu/~maxwell for more information about the museum.

UNM Museum of Southwestern Biology

The museum contains more than two million preserved specimens of plants and animals from around the world, including species that are rare or extinct in the wild. The MSB is the largest natural history collection in New Mexico and one of the largest in the Southwest.

The Silver Family Geology Museum

The museum provides free public exhibits of mineral, fossil, and rock specimens from the collections of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. A free brochure provides a self-guided tour through the exhibits. 

Teachers should contact the department office to schedule class visits. Call 277-4204 or contact the museum via e-mail.
